Heather Wood and Karen Kaufbauer,

Baraboo Rotary Club co-Presidents

Welcome to the Baraboo Rotary Club web site. The Baraboo Rotary Club strives to support local community needs through fund raising, fellowship, and community building. We also support national and international Rotary causes through the Rotary International Foundation.

The Baraboo Rotary Club meets weekly, each Wednesday at noon, in downtown Baraboo, Wisconsin. Our meetings consist of an invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, followed by introduction of guests and visitors, announcements, and brief news from members. A weekly raffle is held offering the opportunity to take home some cash or, if luck is not with you, to contribute to the following week’s drawing. Half the proceeds of the raffle support the Rotary Youth Exchange program and/or other worthy causes. The main portion of our weekly gathering consists of a program or presentation on widely varying topics of interest to members (We are always looking for high quality program speakers). The meeting concludes with a recitation of the Rotary Four-Way Test by which we judge the things we think, say, or do:

  • Is it the Truth?
  • Is it Fair to All concerned?
  • Will it Build Goodwill and Better Friendships?
  • Will it be Beneficial to All concerned?

Annually we gather for “Charter Night” to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of our club in 1984 and our achievements of the past year, honoring those in the club and community who have placed “Service Above Self”. Other social events are scheduled throughout the year.

On behalf of the Baraboo Rotary Club, We invite you to participate in one or two of our weekly meetings as a guest and, if you feel that you have a place in this service organization, to become a member. Learn more about our organization by continuing to explore the Baraboo Rotary web site where you can learn about our membership, fundraisers, charity support, and support of local activities and international youth and adult exchanges.

Please CONTACT US if you have any questions.

Looking forward to meeting you,

Heather and Karen,

The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of US$1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

It was established in 1957 to show appreciation for and encourage substantial contributions to what was then the Foundation’s only program, Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study, the precursor to Ambassadorial Scholarships
